The first batch of Sri Lankan Hajj pikgrims left for Makkah in the early hours of Tuesday,June 21.The pikgrims were seen off by distinguished guests at the Bandaranaike International Airport here. Ambassador Khaled bin Hamoud Al-Kahtani, attended the send-off ceremony of the first group of Sri Lankan Hajj pilgrims consisting of 68 pilgrims, in the presence of Vidura Wickremanayake, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, along with the Chairman of the Hajj Committee of Sri Lanka, Ibrahim Sahib Ansar and officials of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
